Who we are

Current Projects is a specialist engineering consultancy supporting hazardous and highly regulated industries.

Originally established with a strong EC&I capability, the business has expanded to provide integrated Process Engineering, Process Controls, Functional Safety and EC&I services, helping clients deliver safe, practical and buildable engineering solutions from concept through commissioning.

Based in Cramlington, we support clients throughout the UK across sectors including pharmaceutical, nuclear, oil & gas, hydrogen, carbon capture, chemicals and manufacturing.

  • Long term service contract with a Global Pharmaceutical Company delivering ATEX Detailed inspections in line with BS EN 60079-17 and production of associated DSD (Descriptive System Documentation) in line with BS EN 60079-14 & 17 on a COMAH Site.

  • Hazardous Area Classification Reports for a Global Pharmaceutical Manufacturer (UK & America)

  • Full Process EC&I Installation for a UK Manufacturing company to re-purpose existing plant and accommodate a new tanker offloading station.

  • EC&I Design and Engineering for a Global Pharmaceutical Company to facilitate a Pilot Plant Upgrade, Including MCC and Switchroom upgrades.

  • Full Process EC&I Installation for a UK Cleanroom products company for a new warehousing and manufacturing facility storing flammable goods

  • Bespoke control panel design and commissioning for a Global Pharmaceutical Company to facilitate a new product introduction, reverse engineering a redundant control panel to replicate its control philosophy.
